This is a casual ladder for Oakville players, starting 1-Sep-2026 to get some more tennis for the fall season. before the winter sets in. - Matches are all self-organized and self-paced. - Players can play anywhere in Oakville, in the public courts or a private club if access is available. - This is a great starter to get started on the platform and also to get your ratings. - Matches are 1 pro-set (8 games to win the set, with 2 games lead or win tiebreaker at 7-7). - No double faults in the first 2 points for each server. And 3rd deuce point would be a sudden-death - that is, winner of that point wins the game. No ad-scoring.
Rating ladder — anyone can challenge anyone. Beating a stronger player is worth more.
Players can join at any time while the ladder is running.

How it Works
A quick guide to how this ladder works.
What a ladder is
A ladder is an ongoing competition anyone can join at any time — there's no deadline to miss and no bracket to wait for. Entrants play, report the score, and their position moves.
How position works
There's no numbered position at all — standings are a sort by ladder rating, which moves after every match.
Playing a match
In the app, an entrant taps Challenge next to someone's name in the standings. A challenge sets a deadline, not a time — once accepted, the two players agree when and where to play, or Playdates proposes a time automatically if they both have overlapping availability saved.
Ladders alternate whose turn it is to defend, so nobody can sit at the top only playing matches they like the look of.
